Great food and service. One of the best seafood restaurants in Wilmington. I've been bringing my family here for a few years now.

One of my favorites in Wilmington for seafood. I normally just have one of their soups and some steamed shrimp (always fresh and delicious). Tried the fresh fish specials and while a little pricey they were excellent. I always recommend to friends

Ambiance smacks of a seafood restaurant from the 80s, very nautical with d school furniture and carpet. Service was attentive. Great fresh raw oysters on a half shell, delicious. If you are comfortable shucking your own oysters, great deal for a bucket of 30 for $30. Clam chowder was good but super thick like a stew. Claim strips were good, reminiscent of what I had as a kid at Howard Johnson's. Little cheddar baked biscuits, like those you get at Red Lobster. Like that this place is more of a local spot at more reasonable prices.

We tried the hot crab dip and the fried captains platter with the grits& lobster cream sauce and the coleslaw! everything and I do mean EVERYTHING delicious and above expectation! The clam strips and oyster were so tender! The shrimp and scallops HUGE! And the fish was perfectly done! Outstanding!!! Made us want to order more!!!! But we look forward to next time for sure

Great food and service as usual. We had steam clams in a wine sauce and steamed oysters for appetizers. For entrees we had the Sheepshead and Golden Tile.

I've been enjoying Hieronymus Seafood for over 30 years, and it has never disappointed. In fact, it gets better each visit. The staff is always friendly, and the decor is just plain fun. There is a cozy firepit area on the patio, and the bathroom has this wonderful salt hand scrub. The crab dip is always amazing. I go between the blackened and nut encrusted version of the fish I select. The wine selection is pretty great too. This restaurant needs to be on the go-to list of every local and regular visitor to the Wilmington area.

I love this seafood restaurant! It's one of my go-to's when I'm at the beach. It's closer to downtown Wilmington than Wrightsville, but worth the drive. They allow for reservations, and are quick to seat you. The service is always good and there's lots to choose from on the menu. My favorite part is probably the biscuits, because they're a better version of red lobster garlic and cheese biscuits. They always have 4-5 fresh catch options and you can get them flavored in a variety of ways. I like blackened and lemon caper style the best!
